Getting Started
What is Tessora?
Tessora is a mid-term rental marketplace purpose-built for stays of 1–12 months. We connect verified renters — travel nurses, relocating professionals, remote workers — with property owners offering furnished housing. Our fees are lower than Airbnb and VRBO, and every feature is designed for longer stays.
How does booking work?
A renter searches available listings, selects their dates, and submits a booking request. The host reviews the request and confirms. Payment is collected securely via Stripe. Both parties can message each other through the platform throughout the process.
What are the fees?
Tessora charges a 5% host commission and an 8% renter service fee. There are no hidden charges. Hosts who join the Founding 100 program lock in the 5% rate for life.
For Hosts
How do I list my property?
Register for an account, then create a listing with photos, details, and pricing. Once published, your listing is live on the marketplace. Our AI quality scoring helps you optimize your listing for better visibility and bookings.
What integrations are available?
Tessora supports iCal calendar sync (Google Calendar, Airbnb, VRBO), property management system connections (Hostaway, Guesty, OwnerRez, Lodgify), PriceLabs dynamic pricing, and an embeddable booking widget for your own website.
How does the booking widget work?
Embed a Tessora-powered booking widget on your website. Renters can browse your listings and submit inquiries directly. All bookings are attributed to your widget for tracking and analytics.
How do lease contracts work?
Configure a Dropbox Sign template or upload a PDF for your listing. When a booking is confirmed, send the lease for e-signature. Both host and renter sign electronically. Completed documents are stored securely on the platform.
How do payouts work?
Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect directly to your bank account, typically within 3–5 business days after each rental period.
What is the Portfolio Dashboard?
A comprehensive view of your rental business: revenue trends, occupancy rates, channel performance, and per-listing analytics. You can export your data as CSV for your records.
For Renters
How is my identity verified?
Tessora uses identity verification and background screening to ensure trust and safety for all parties. This process helps protect both renters and hosts.
Can I message the host before booking?
Yes. The messaging system lets you communicate with hosts before and during your stay, so you can ask questions and coordinate details.
What happens if there's a dispute?
Tessora provides a built-in dispute resolution process. Either party can open a dispute, and our team mediates to find a fair resolution.
Trust & Safety
What are trust tiers?
Tessora assigns trust levels — New, Verified, Trusted, and Superhost — based on verification status, booking history, and review scores. Higher tiers unlock more visibility and features on the platform.
Is my data secure?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Payments are handled by Stripe (PCI Level 1 certified). Lease documents are processed through Dropbox Sign's secure infrastructure. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Which property management systems are supported?
Hostaway, Guesty, OwnerRez, and Lodgify. Connect your PMS to sync calendars and reservations, avoiding double bookings across platforms.
How does calendar sync work?
Import iCal feeds from any platform — Airbnb, VRBO, Google Calendar — to keep your Tessora calendar in sync. Changes are synced automatically so your availability is always up to date.
What is PriceLabs integration?
Connect your PriceLabs account to receive dynamic pricing recommendations based on market demand, seasonality, and comparable listings. Pricing updates are applied directly to your Tessora listing.
Do you have an API for staffing agencies?
