Tessora is a marketplace for 30–90 day furnished rentals — purpose-built for the people who need them most and the hosts who want to serve them well.
The problem we're solving
Travel nurses, insurance-displaced families, military relocators, and corporate travelers all share a common struggle: finding furnished housing for a month or three is unreliable, expensive, and often unsafe.
Existing platforms — built for vacation stays or long-term leases — leave mid-term renters exposed to scams, ghost listings, and surprise fees. Hosts on those platforms face ghost renters, payment disputes, and zero verification of who's actually moving in.
The mid-term market is real and growing. It just doesn't have a platform designed for it.
How Tessora is different
Real verification
Renters submit credentials — license numbers, employment letters, military orders. Hosts are vetted before listing. Both sides know who they're dealing with.
Protected deposits
Deposits are held in escrow until move-out. No landlord disappearing with your money. No renter claiming damage that wasn't there.
Monthly billing
Clean paper trails. Invoices that work for HR reimbursement, insurance claims, or IRS documentation. Built for people who actually need receipts.
Why “Tessora”?
A 2,000-year-old idea.
In ancient Rome, two parties would break a clay tile and each keep half — a tessera hospitalis. When a traveler arrived at a stranger's door months or years later, the matching shards proved the relationship: I know you. I vouch for you. You are welcome here.
That's the infrastructure we're building. Not just a listing site — a trust layer. Every verified renter is a matching shard. Every vetted host, the other half.

We're a small team that has lived the problem — navigating furnished rentals for travel, relocation, and extended work trips. We're building Tessora because we needed it and it didn't exist.
